Larry and Tom discover a broken computer in the History resource room in the local library. Larry accicentally touches the monitor. It lights up and first displays the universe and the planet Earth in transition as the computer voice explains the Big Bang Theory, then life amongst the Massachuset tribe of indians on the Fore River and Back River, the failure of the first English trading company, the ultimate success of the settlement of Wessagussett and life of the early settlers. The computer voice and monitor go on to show the development of the four villages of the town, its growing businesses, farm life, church and political life, relationships with surrounding communities, and the changing relationship with England. Stories of the men, women and children of Weymouth who lived during the American Revolution are depicted. Weymouth’s citizens experience the birth of our nation and two boys who skip school learn about the role of government. Finally a helicopter ride over the town points out its many historical building and sites.
