Fifteen varieties of beans are. Staples on the California markets at the present time, many of which are Unknown in the eastern bean districts. Some were introduced by the Spanish missionaries, some came through our early trade with the west coast of South America. And some came directly from the Indian tribes of Mexico. One is known to be of Oriental origin.
