When attorney Bobby Reavis and his bride Karla set out for their honeymoon on the Caribbean island of Barbados, they see a future together filled with blue skies and sunny days. But Oliver "Ocee" Clarke has a different future in store for them.
The convicted murderer, who had recently escaped from prison and is the subject of an intensive manhunt, needs a way off the island. His plan involves finding a traveling companion to help divert suspicion as he makes his exit. And when he crosses paths with the honeymooners in a remote area of Barbados, he finds the perfect companion: a beautiful white woman. Snatching her and leaving Bobby for dead, he carries out his escape plan.
Barely alive, Bobby is found and, after his recovery, he returns to his home in Dallas to grieve. But in a stroke of bad luck, he discovers that Ocee had also arrived in Dallas under the auspices of a Jamaican drug gang, or "posse," which has assumed a violent presence in the city. What follows is a deadly game of cat-and-mouse that reaches from the streets of Dallas back to the jungles of Barbados, leading to a final showdown between the lawyer and the murderer.
