Several years ago, a very glorious holiday in Chicago changed the lives of many people. It all begins when guinea pigs Pseudo and Moodo decide to give their owner, a young girl named Louise, a Christmas gift. “After all,” they said, “friends give friends gifts at Christmas to show their love for each other.” Psuedo and Moodo enlist the help of Ray and Rose, a mouse family living with Louise and her mom, Amanda Durer, a single parent who struggles to make ends meet.
Ray and Rose move quickly to engineer this gift-giving caper. Their human contact is Alice Winter, a woman who became homeless after a roller coaster of tragedies rocked her life. As Alice transports her clients to the dime store in her utility cart, she sets out on an adventure that takes her from the shadows of depression and homelessness to a new home and positive lease on life.
A heartwarming holiday tale, Mittens for Christmas is a positive and uplifting story about friendship and love.
