The projectors and early managers of the Institu with a wisdom which must ever be commended, took 0 at the very commencement of its existence, to secure, it ample and convenient grounds. A tract of land, bracing about one hundred and twenty-one acres, was chased in 1841, for the sum of It approach square in shape, and is divided into two. Tolerably e portions by a brook running through it south. With the exception of a small po undulating, its surface is a plane, inclining south and south-east.
