ON the 1 1th of May, 1891, in accordance with the plan adopted in 1889, the details of which are set forth and explained in the Preface to Volume VIII. Of the Collections of The Worcester Society of Antiquity, a petition was presented to the City Govern ment of Worcester for a third appropriation, to defray one-half the expense of copying, editing, indexing and printing the Town Records from 181 7 to 183 2, inclusive. This petition bore the fol lowing names Albert Curtis, George F. Hoar, George Chandler, Nathaniel Paine, Frank P. Goulding, A. G. Bullock, F. A. Gaskill, E. B. Crane, Richard o’flynn, Samuel S. Green, Samuel H. Put nam, Harvey B. Wilder, E. M. Barton, Lyman Brown, George M. Woodward, S. E. Hildreth, Clark Jillson, T. A. Dickinson, John C. Otis, Samuel E. Staples, S. D. H-osmer, James L.
